Magic: new spells, Eternal spells, wands
- 9 new spell types: Mana Drain, Entangle, Pillar of Flames, Blizzard, Ball Lightning, Fire Totem, Ice Totem, Shock Totem and a Hollow skeleton summon.
- Every spell has an Eternal version that uses no charges, and Eternal spells can now be upgraded like weapons.
- The game now caps the creatures each player has summoned and replaces the oldest when you go over.
- Wands got a heavy attack, better target selection and an optional free-aim mode. Wand special abilities are no longer interrupted by enemy attacks.
- The Gem of Lesser Necromancy now limits how many companions it raises, and gem-raised companions lose health out of combat. New Gems of Necromancy were added.
- The Gem of Battle Mania and Gem of Obsession were toned down. The Gem of Toxic Reaction was buffed.
Builds that use these changes: Battlemage, Wizard, Summoner, Healer.
Ranged and Shroud changes
- Arrow costs and effectiveness were rebalanced. New Eternal Ember and Eternal Voltaic arrows come in several tiers, and Eternal arrows are upgradeable.
- Shroud time extensions stack less effectively than before. To make up for it, many more Hourglass capsules appear in shrouded areas, and large Fell enemies drop them.
- Hard-lock target switching is faster for bows and wands, and ranged and melee have separate auto-target settings.
Builds that use these changes: Ranger, Assassin.
